Arsenal dealt injury scare after what Bukayo Saka missed first England training session

Arsenal have reportedly been dealt an injury scare with Bukayo Saka missing England’s first training session of the international break.

The 22-year-old winger is one of three Arsenal players who were named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for this month’s friendlies against Brazil and Belgium, alongside Aaron Ramsdale and Declan Rice.

Saka has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season and is set to enjoy a career-best year with the attacker scoring and incredible 16 goals and bagging 15 assists in 37 matches in all competitions.

Yet according to Football London, Saka today endured an injury scare after the forward trained away from the main England group alongside Three Lions captain Harry Kane and Chelsea star Cole Palmer.

With Saka playing more minutes than any Arsenal attacker this season, the winger getting injured now would be nothing short of disastrous given how important the youngster is for the Gunners.

However, as per the report, Saka training away from the main England group is believed to be only a precautionary measure, something Arsenal fans will be relieved to hear.

Indeed, losing Saka will be a nightmare scenario for the Gunners, especially with Arsenal’s next Premier League game arguably the biggest of the season yet away to Manchester City.

After this international break, it will be the home stretch for Arsenal in their bid to win the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League, with Saka the talisman.

The north London side are aware just how important the winger is to their cause, and Saka getting injured now could all-but end Arsenal’s hopes of winning silverware.

As a result, the north London side might look to do something to ensure Saka isn’t risked any further with England, where an injury could retail everything for the Gunners.
