Armed police officers were called to a usually quiet street today after reports of a gunman.
Officers attended a house in Berridge Road, Sheerness, at around 10.30am, where a teenage boy was taken into custody.
A search of nearby property has since led to the recovery of several items including an air rifle.
The raid co-incided with the regular waste bin collection by Swale Borough Council.
The council confirmed that the collection round had to be abandoned as a result.
