‘Brilliant’: Owen Hargreaves says Tottenham have a 22-year-old who’s ‘going to be a really good player’

Tottenham didn’t have the best of times against Fulham this weekend.

Spurs were beaten 3-0 by their London rivals, and it has to be said that Tottenham weren’t at the races at all.

The north London club were all over the shop on Saturday, and one of their worst performers was undoubtedly Radu Dragusin.

The Romanian made his full debut for Tottenham this weekend, and he really didn’t look comfortable against Spurs.

Dragusin wasn’t great against Fulham, but there’s still plenty of belief that the 22-year-old can become a top player for Tottenham.

Indeed, speaking on Premier League Productions, Owen Hargreaves has been full of praise for Dragusin, claiming that he is a brilliant player who, ultimately, is going to be really good for Tottenham.

Radu Dragusin will be really good

Hargreaves spoke about the 22-year-old.

“Especially in someone’s first start in the Premier League, we know how tough this league is, he’s a brilliant player and he’s going to be a really good player, but it’s a lot of pressure on someone who isn’t used to playing in a game at this level,” Hargreaves said.

Slow start

Dragusin hasn’t had the best of starts in a Tottenham shirt, but he wouldn’t be the only player in Spurs’ history to come good after a poor beginning.

Let’s not forget, Gareth Bale was on the chopping block for a long time before coming good at Tottenham, and while we’re not saying that Dragusin will go through the exact same journey as Bale, the fact remains that he shouldn’t just be judged after one match.

Whether or not Dragusin ends up becoming a star for Tottenham remains to be seen, but at the age of just 22, it would be foolish to write him off after just one match in which he struggled.

As Hargreaves says, Dragusin still has plenty of potential.
