Sunderland ‘urged’ to bring in manager before the end of the season

2024 has been a cruel year for Sunderland fans. Just a few months back playoffs were a realistic dream for the Black Cats as they eyed promotion back to the Premier League.

However, after the fall-off and subsequent sacking of Michael Beale, interim manager Mike Dodds has not done much better. Sunderland are currently on a seven-game winless streak, losing six of the matches in that run.

As a result, they have now been urged to dip into the managerial market earlier than expected and bring in Paul Heckingbottom.
