N.J. man stabbed to death in abandoned apartment is ID’d by police

Authorities have identified the man stabbed to death in an abandoned Trenton apartment on Tuesday as a 52-year-old city man.

Donnell Jenkins was found with multiple stab wounds when police were called to a low-rise building in Kingsbury Square apartments on Cooper Street at around 2:40 a.m., the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Jenkins died of his injuries at an area hospital.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that a person was taken into custody, but did not announce any arrests or charges. On Thursday morning, a prosecutor’s office spokeswoman said no charges have been filed and the investigation in continuing.
