Manchester United fans are blown away Bruno Fernandes’ display for Portugal in 5-2 thrashing

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is back in action for Portugal and he’s continued to be their best player, now fans have reacted.

Less than a week after he saw out the 4-3 win over Liverpool at centre-half for Manchester United, he’s back in action already and among the goals.

Bruno Fernandes is an absolute freak of nature to be able to play as much as he does without performance levels dropping.

It’s ludicrous and it does make it easy to understand just why Erik ten Hag has him as captain, with that sort of consistency and work rate something which will inspire others.

Now during his latest game for Portugal he’s scored and assisted in a 5-2 win over Sweden – his 20th goal for his country and this has left fans blown away.

“Another goal and an assist for Bruno Fernandes tonight. I’m convinced Bruno is actually a machine at this point”, another fan account wrote.

The performance even left one United fan in a reflective mood: “I feel like when Bruno Fernandes leaves the club, it will only be that very moment where our fans appreciate the player that we have had at our club.”

Just how good is Bruno Fernandes for Portugal?

We all know how brilliant Bruno is for Ten Hag’s United, but despite this he might be even better for Portugal.

Since the 2022 World Cup in which Bruno scored two and assisted three in five games, he’s continued this run in immense form through qualifying for the Euros.

Six goals and seven assists in 10 European Championship qualification games showed he was going to continue his form.

Now as we approach this summers tournament, he’s still providing the goods, it is safe to say Bruno is Portugal’s main man.
