The Russian Federation is carrying out a massive attack on Ukraine's energy system in recent times. Hits on generation facilities and distribution systems have been recorded in various regions, according to the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Halushchenko.

According to him, the enemy is currently carrying out the most massive attack on Ukrainian energy in recent times. The aim is not just to cause damage, but to attempt once again, as last year, to cause a major failure in the country's energy system.

"Unfortunately, there are hits and damage to generation facilities, transmission, and distribution systems of electricity in various regions. Additionally, due to shelling, one of the power transmission lines supplying Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been de-energized," he noted.

Halushchenko added that there are power outages in some regions. Energy workers are already working on restoring the electricity supply.
