Much excitement in the Newbury Weekly News office this morning at the breaking news that special guests have been added and the full line-up confirmed for the Heritage Live Pete Tong Ibiza Classics Englefield gig
The show, on Saturday, July 20, will feature “very special guests” The Grid, who are reuniting their full, original line-up for the first time in more than 20 years. An exclusive UK performance, they will be playing all of their greatest hits.
Groove Armada will also be joining the line-up, performing one of their legendary DJ sets and the party kicks off from 1pm with a set from a rising star from the Pete Tong DJ Academy.

Emerging out of the UK Acid House scene of the late 80s, The Grid became one of the most influential and popular electronic dance bands of the 90s and beyond.
Dave Ball and Richard Norris notched up 10 UK hit singles, including the Balearic classic 'Floatation' and the million selling worldwide hit 'Swamp Thing'.
They toured all over the UK and Europe, and further afield to Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, with a startling audiovisual show featuring banks of TV sets and a cracking live band. The Grid were also regular visitors to Top Of The Pops, and have performed on numerous TV and radio shows.
Both Dave and Richard have since created many productions and remixes, Dave working with Marc Almond as Soft Cell, and Richard working solo and with Erol Alkan as Beyond The Wizards Sleeve. The Grid return with the full original line up and a brand new audio visual show, created by BATFA winning film director Kieran Evans. Watch the skies!

Previously announced for the Heritage Live concert series at Englefield are Madness, plus special guests Lightning Seeds + Old Time Sailors on Friday 19th July, Elbow plus special guests to be announced on Sunday 21st July, and Flackstock, the UK’s only festival raising awareness of mental health issues and raising funds for mental health charities, on Monday 22nd July.
This will be Heritage Live’s third year promoting concerts in the grounds of the Englefield, having previously hosted huge acts such as Boy George & Culture Club, Hozier, Richard Ashcroft and more.
