West Ham star scores crucial goal for his country but only plays 77 minutes last night

One West Ham United player scored a crucial goal whilst away on international duty, but he only played 77 minutes last night.

West Ham have eight stars currently away on international duty in all corners of the globe, and one player in particular had an eventful game last night.

David Moyes and the Hammers fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that all of our players return home after the international break with no problems.

West Ham star Mohammed Kudus has already suffered a shoulder injury whilst away with Ghana, and that is obviously not ideal.

The Hammers are currently sitting in seventh spot in the Premier League table and we have a two-legged Europa League quarter-final tie with Bayer Leverkusen to look forward to next month.

So a lot hinges on the fitness of the players who are currently away with their respective nations on international duty.

The West Ham fans will be watching the international fixtures featuring our star players over the next few days with baited breath…

West Ham player scores goal on international duty but only plays 77 minutes

Every single two-week international break feels like it goes on for an absolute eternity doesn’t it, especially when we’re at such a crucial part of the season!

It’s not just the sheer boredom that ensues without watching our beloved West Ham that gets to me, it’s the worry that accompanies seeing our players competing in games thousands of miles away from home.

Last night, all eyes were on one of our key men…

Edson Alvarez took part in Mexico’s CONCACAF Nations League clash with Panama in the early hours of this morning.

He opened the scoring for his side inside the first-half in their 3-0 win, before being substituted after 77 minutes.

However, the good news is that he wasn’t taken off due to injury, more so just to rest his legs with another huge game on the horizon for his country.

Mexico will now face the United States in the CONCACAF Nations League final at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas on Sunday night, Central Daylight Time.

Let’s hope that he emerges from that match unscathed because the last thing that West Ham need is the 26-year-old player returning from international duty with any kind of injury problems.
