The death toll in Friday's attack on the Crocus City Hall event centre near Moscow has risen to 133, according to Russian investigators.

While clearing away rubble in the centre's concert venue, emergency services found more bodies, the Moscow Investigative Committee wrote on Telegram on Saturday.

The search for possible further victims is continuing, said the authority, which had reported 115 deaths in the early afternoon and said that the number was likely to rise.

Thousands of people were arriving to attend a rock concert on Friday evening when gunmen stormed the building. Several men in camouflage clothing opened fire indiscriminately on the crowd, detonated explosives and started a fire.

Four alleged shooters and seven other suspects have since been arrested, according to Russia's FSB domestic intelligence service.
