A group of Russian interventionists and military equipment were destroyed in the temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, as a result of yesterday's explosions. This was the result of an operation by Ukrainian intelligence and local resistance forces.
Two explosions occurred on the territory of Melitopol on Friday, March 22.
"As a result of a special action of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and the local resistance movement, a group of Russian invaders and their military equipment were successfully defeated," the statement said.
What is known about enemy losses
The military intelligence said that, preliminarily, the epicenter of the explosions was
- about 20 Russian occupants,
- 2 tented Kamaz trucks and a UAZ Patriot.
The DIU added that the exact enemy losses are currently being clarified.

Situation in Melitopol
Melitopol was occupied in February 2022 during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. And despite the "title" of "rear", explosions in the city are constantly occurring in the locations of the invaders' personnel and equipment.
An explosion in Melitopol was reported in October last year - it was a successful operation by the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine. Special forces cut off the occupiers from fuel and ammunition supplies.
Earlier in March, there were also explosions in the occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, particularly in Tokmak and Melitopol.
And before that, in February, the Russian occupiers themselves organized an explosion in a sports complex in Melitopol, which resulted in injuries.
