ITV Celebrity Big Brother star 'could land major soap role' after impressing on show

Celebrity Big Brother's Bradley Riches could reportedly land an exciting soap role after impressing on the ITV reality series.

The actor, 22, is best known for playing James McEwan in hit Netflix series Heartstopper and also has an impressive stage resume too.

More recently, Bradley appeared as a housemate on the revamped ITV series of Celebrity Big Brother but was sadly evicted just before the final on Friday night, which was won by David Potts.

And now it has been reported that Bradley could follow in the footsteps of his fellow housemate, Coronation Street star Colson Smith, who has played Craig Tinker on the cobbles since 2011.

Dom Aldworth, Head of Brand Marketing at Slingo told The Daily Star: "With connections to both the BBC and ITV, alongside his impressive acting portfolio appearing on both Netflix and Broadway and a large social media following, Riches would arguably have the pick of the British soaps."

While PR expert Rochelle White added to the publication: "Since being on CBB and no doubt gaining some traction and even a fan base, he would have caught the eyes of producers in soapland.

"I could see him popping up on soaps like EastEnders or Coronation Street. But, he could work really well on Hollyoaks as that is a younger demographic and sits on YouTube as well as E4."

It comes as Bradleyopened up about his brutal Celebrity Big Brother eviction on Thursday night. Earlier this week, viewers were asked to vote for who they wanted to win out of Fern Britton, Nikita Kuzmin, Louis Walsh, Colson Smith, David and Bradley. Despite the eviction happening on Wednesday night, the exit wasn't aired until Thursday evening where Bradley was sadly evicted from the house.

During the episode, the housemates got to have an emotional moment with their loved ones ahead of the final but for Bradley someone else was waiting for him. Instead of a friend or family member, Bradey was greeted by host AJ Odudu in the rendezvous clearing to which she asked: "Surprised to see me?"

Explaining the reason for her appearance, the host added: "As you can see, neither a friend or family member is here for you. That is because the public have been voting. I can now reveal that the 7th housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house is you."

Reacting to the shock news, Bradley said: "I’ve had so much fun, I feel fine, I didn’t think I was gonna make it this so far, and I love everyone in there and I’m so proud of everyone, and I’m very thankful, very grateful and very happy."

AJ then confirmed: "Bradley, your stay in the Celebrity Big Brother house is over, you must return to the house, say your goodbyes and leave immediately. Good luck!" to which Bradley then said goodbye to his fellow housemates, exclaiming: "I love you all so much, I’ve had the best time!" as he exited via the Diary Room. It comes as Friday's final saw David crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2024.
