The Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported details of the Russian missile strike. This is the second strike on Kyiv in four days, according to its Telegram channel.

According to the administration's report, the enemy used three types of cruise missiles, and the air raid lasted for over two hours.

"The adversary once again employed cruise missiles X-101/X-555/X-55 from the strategic bombers Tu-95MS. The launches took place from the area of Engels, Saratov region. The air raid in the capital lasted for over 2 hours. The missiles approached Kyiv in groups, from the north direction," the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported.

The Kyiv Regional Military Administration also reported that the air defense system successfully intercepted nearly a dozen enemy missiles.

"Approximately a dozen enemy missiles were successfully intercepted over Kyiv and its vicinity by the air defense forces. The exact number and type of missiles will be reported by the Air Force," the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported.

According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or damage in the capital.

Russian attack on Kyiv

On the night of March 24, an air raid alert was declared throughout Ukraine. 14 Tu-95MS aircraft, which are capable of carrying cruise missiles, took off.

Residents of Kyiv heard explosions, and reports of air defense activity emerged. In the Desnianskyi district of the capital, missile fragments fell in a forest belt.
