Wolves miss out on free-scoring striker
A new striker, a position Wolves have needed re-enforcements in for seasons. Since Raul Jimenez’s terrible injury, the club have not had a free-scoring number nine for years. However, it now appears Wolves were extremely close to fulfilling this position last summer.
Two names were consistently linked to Molineux for months. One was Alex Scott who went on to move to Bournemouth and the other was former Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish man would eventually move to Sporting Lisbon where he has been scoring goals for fun. However, it has now come to light that Wolves were extremely close to signing him if it wasn’t for a huge blunder by the club.

Five players who may have played their last Wolves game
Now that the season is coming to an end, plans will have likely been made on how the squad should shape up in the next campaign.
While many have played extremely well, others have not and as a result been sent out on loan.
Fans are unlikely to see Fabio Silva and Luke Cundlein Old Gold again. However, others are likely to move on due to their form.

Wolves struck gold with ‘excellent’ signing
Many first-teamers have shown their worth to Wolves this season. After originally being tipped to go down, the club have performed well above expectations under Gary O’Neil.
One player who may have flown under the radar this campaign is Toti Gomes. The defender has now become a regular in the first-team, starting almost every game.
