In Sevastopol, the communication hub of the occupiers of the Black Sea Fleet could have been destroyed. This is an important element for military command, reports Dmitry Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy.

"Any losses, especially sensitive ones like communication, always affect the ability to command troops. In any war, this is one of the key factors that can contribute to a positive outcome of combat operations. If you have many units, you won't see victories if you can't control them," explained Pletenchuk.

The spokesperson emphasized that communication is one of the main elements of troop support.

Explosions in Crimea

It is worth noting that on the evening of March 23, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea, including in Sevastopol.

There were reports online about alleged air defense operations, and the occupiers closed the Crimean Bridge. Local residents reported a fire in Kozacha Bay in Sevastopol.

OSINT analysts noted that a major communication hub of the Russian Black Sea Fleet could have been targeted in Sevastopol.

Explosions were also heard in Crimea overnight. Local Telegram channels reported that an oil depot used by the Russians was on fire in Hvardiiske.
