0% shot accuracy... Whilst Kobbie Mainoo has game to remember, United wonderkid has fixture to forget for his country

Kobbie Mainoo made his debut for England last night, in what was a special night to remember for the Manchester United star.

Whilst he only took the Wembley turf for 15 minutes, Kobbie Mainoo will be simply ecstatic to have made his debut in white – as he suggested via his Instagram post.

It’s been a chaotic few months for the academy graduate, who will be feeling on top of the world after his bow against the Brazilians.

But whilst Mainoo had a night to remember, a fellow Manchester United wonderkid had a game to forget playing for his country.

Rasmus Hojlund has a night to forget for Denmark

Despite only just returning from injury at Old Trafford, Rasmus Hojlund was chosen by the Denmark coach to feature in their upcoming friendlies.

They had their first on Sunday, where Hojlund alongside fellow Red Devil Christian Eriksen, took on Switzerland.

It was a boring 0 – 0 draw between the two European sides and Hojlund had a game that he will certainly want to put behind him.

His performance is best epitomised by looking at his stats – which are way below his usual high levels.

  • 84 minutes played
  • 0 goals
  • 0 assists
  • 2 shots
  • 0 chances created
  • 0% shot accuracy
  • 27 touches
  • 3 touches in the opposition box
  • 0% successful dribbles
  • 7 duels lost
  • 5.7 rating

Rasmus Hojlund still probably not at full fitness

As we know with Hojlund, when he finds form and gets on a streak – he is simply an animal. After being out for so long, it’s not a worry whatsoever to see he’s a little bit rusty.

If anything, these two international fixtures may be a good thing for Manchester United regarding Hojlund. The Danish striker can get some minutes on the board and hopefully come back to feature against Brentford in the Premier League as his usual prolific self.

He has one more game for the Danes when they take on the Faroe Islands on Tuesday. Hojlund will be hoping for a much better performance than that of his showing against Switzerland.
