Arsenal now reportedly want to sign £43m star who’s labelled Bukayo Saka ‘one of the best players in the world’

Arsenal have been linked with a move for a Premier League player who has already labelled Bukayo Saka as ‘one the best’ players in world football.

Mikel Arteta is undoubtedly building something special at Arsenal and once again has them in the mix for the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners are yet to get over the line on the biggest stage under the Spaniard but success for Arteta feels imminent. He took over a disjointed squad back in December 2019 but has since built a side which boasts a real togetherness.

With Arsenal on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this summer, Morgan Gibbs-White is the latest name to be linked with a move to north London.

Should the Nottingham Forest star end up at Arsenal, he could strike up a brilliant relationship with Bukayo Saka after previously lauding the winger.

What Arsenal target Gibbs-White has said about Saka

Speaking to the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, Gibbs-White claimed Saka is one of the best in world football right now.

“Bukayo for me is at the minute one of the best players in the world and Erling Haaland speaks for himself,” the midfielder said.

“I just think with Bukayo, he doesn’t go out of his comfort zone, he knows what he’s good at, he’s mastered it and it works every time, cut inside on the left, goal, he must practice it every single day in training.”

Gibbs-White could be perfect for Arsenal and Saka

The midfielder has impressed since his £43 million switch to Forest from Wolves back in the summer of 2022.

Gibbs-White played a key role in keeping Forest in the Premier League last season, netting five times and providing eight assists.

He’s managed four goals and five assists in all competitions this time around.

Arsenal have looked brilliant in recent weeks and Arteta has seemingly found the right balance in midfield by pushing Declan Rice further up the pitch.

Yet, you can’t help but feel that Gibbs-White would suit that left-sided midfield role in Arteta’s side. The 24-year-old could also provide exceptional cover on the opposite side for Arsenal skipper Martin Odegaard.

It would only benefit the likes of Saka to have yet another creative player in the middle of the park.
