An uninsured driver without an appropriate licence has been fined £1,674 and banned from the roads.
Chelsea Hirst, 26, of Lovers Lane, Newark, was found guilty of multiple offences when her case was heard at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on March 18.
Hirst was fined £660 and ordered to pay costs of £354 for two offences while driving a Vauxhall on Bowbridge Road on May 22, 2023.
She was uninsured and did not have an appropriate driving licence for the vehicle.
A further £660 fine was imposed for three further offences of driving without insurance, without an appropriate driving licence and failing to comply with a red traffic light.
The offences occurred on Portland Street, on July 21, 2023, while Hirst was driving a Peugeot.
Hirst was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months due to her repeat offending.
A speeding driver was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £40 during an appearance at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on March 7.
David Morgan, 68, of Triumph Close, Eakring, drove a Vauxhall at a speed over 30mph on the B6009 Watnall Road on June 13, 2023.
He initially pleaded not guilty to the offence, but changed his plea to guilty.
Morgan’s driving licence was also endorsed with three points.
Christopher Storton, 43, of Lincoln Road, Newark, appeared before Magistrates on March 8.
He was fined £50 for failure to comply with supervision requirements imposed on him after being released from prison.
He failed to attend on September 7 and November 16, 2023, and January 3, 2024, and admitted the breach.
