Fans of McDonald’s are celebrating after the beloved fast food brand revived the highly acclaimed Spicy McNuggets.
The spicy twist on the fan-favorite classic was first launched by McDonald’s in 2020. Coated in a tempura batter and covered in cayenne and chili peppers, the McNuggets were the first new flavor since 1983.

Though we are still yet to receive an official press release from the fast food chain, numerous well-established news pages have posted about the launch. Lucky customers have even been posting them on social media platforms like TikTok.
Instagram page Snackolator, who earlier teased the release of the churro Oreo collaboration, posted about the McDonald’s news on Sunday.
“These are rolling out to participating markets this week and mine hooked me up by having them this weekend!” he wrote. “If you’ve never had Spicy McNuggets from @mcdonalds, you’re missing out. The level of spice is not that big – it’s got a small kick – but that little change to me makes them so much better than the OG McNuggets.”
It’s believed that the Spicy Chicken Nuggets were launched today at participating locations, with another page stating they had already been spotted at franchises in San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Philadelphia, and New York City.
Already, customers are taking to TikTok with mouth-watering videos of their McDonald’s Spicy McNuggets.

There are currently calls for the Spicy McNuggets to be made a permanent item on the menu, though it’s unlikely given the massive interest surrounding them each time they return.
One person wrote on social media: “I love spicy McNuggets Mcdonald’s should make them permanent already.”
“I hope the McDonald’s around me get them this time, I couldn’t find any when they came back last time,” a second wrote, to which a third added, “Damn was hoping this had “1 day ago” posted so that I could check if they’re available today. Spicy nugs are.”
