Community workshop for Jersey City Courthouse Park March 26

Jersey City and the Courthouse Park Advocacy Group will participate in a community workshop Tuesday to discuss plans for the 3.4-acre park on the site of the William J. Brennan Hudson County Courthouse on Pavonia Avenue.

The meeting will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 511 Pavonia Ave. at 6:30 p.m. People can also attend via Zoom: https://swagroup.zoom.us/j/93935952895 .

The meeting will include a presentation by consultant SWA Group that shows options for the park. The Jersey City Department of Infrastructure will provide an update on the progress on the park and community members will have an opportunity to provide feedback about the project.

City officials have said the park design will prioritize the needs of the residents who live directly adjacent to the area without access to any park space, while also advancing a world-class design that is in alignment with our citywide goals of sustainability, resilience, transportation equity, innovation and smart growth.
