Rebel Wilson branded Sacha Baron Cohen sex scene 'disgusting' before public feud

By Charlotte Everett

Rebel Wilson called a Sacha Baron Cohen sex scene "disgusting" before their public feud.

The scene was filmed nine years before the actress called Sacha an "a**hole" in her new memoir. The pair starred together in 2016's Grimsby, in which they shot a sex scene with one another. It has been said that Wilson made the claim that the scene was "disgusting" when she was on the promotion trail for the film in 2015.

Wilson and Baron Cohen both starred in the 2016 spy action comedy movie Grimsby. The film, written by Baron Cohen, saw Wilson play the role of Dawn Grobham, the girlfriend of Baron Cohen's character Kyle Alan 'Nobby' Butcher, and mother of his 11 children.

Rebel told news.com.au: "I had a sex scene with Sacha Baron Cohen and it was just the most disgusting thing ever." The revelation comes after Rebel lifted the lid on a feud with a British film star she claims has caused issues with her tell-all memoir. She took to social media to confirm that the actor had tried to stop her from mentioning him in her book was Sacha Baron Cohen.

The actress, 44, told fans she "will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers" as she revealed Baron Cohen as the previously unidentified "massive a**hole" mentioned in one chapter of her forthcoming autobiography Rebel Rising, set to be released next month.

Writing on Instagram on 15th March, Wilson said: "When I first came to Hollywood, people were like, yeah, ‘I have a no a**hole policy, means like, yeah, I don’t work with a**holes.’ I was like, ‘Oh yeah. I mean, that sounds sensible or logical. But then it really sunk in because I worked with a massive a**hole and yeah, now I definitely have a no a**holes policy."

In another post shared on social media, Wilson alleged: "Now the a**hole is trying to threaten me. He’s hired a crisis PR manager and lawyers. He’s trying to stop press coming out about my new book. But the book WILL come out and you will all know the truth."

Taking to her Instagram Stories today (25th March), Wilson shared a picture of a notebook and pen and wrote over the image: "I will not be bullied or silenced by high-priced lawyers or PR crisis managers. The 'asshole' that I am talking about in ONE CHAPTER of my book is: Sacha Baron Cohen."

Sacha has since spoken out about the situation. Speaking to TMZ via representatives, He said: 'While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence... [With] contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.'
