Jayden Danns has named the Liverpool first-team star who has been most influential in helping him adapt to being a member of the senior squad at Anfield.
Jayden Danns has been one of the prospects to emerge in Jurgen Klopp‘s squad this season. Of course, injuries have blighted the Liverpool side over the course of the campaign.
The 18-year-old has barely played for the club’s under-21s. But that did not stop Klopp handing him an opportunity in the Carabao Cup final when the tie with Chelsea was in the balance.
He had only made his Premier League debut a few days earlier. But just like Conor Bradley, Bobby Clark and a few others, Danns did not look to be out of place in the first-team of a side fighting for trophies, including the Premier League.

Many of his senior teammates can take some of the credit for helping Danns adapt to the demands. He has only played five times for the under-21s, so it has been quite the jump in recent months.
And speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Danns explained how important Ibrahima Konate has been for him since he started to feature in the first-team fold.
He said: “To be fair, all of them have been brilliant to me. I mean, they’ve been really welcoming, but I’d say Ibou [Konate] has probably been the biggest one. He’s so bubbly as a character, you can’t describe him as a personality, you go up there and he is like: ‘Dannsy!’
“It’s mental, to be honest, and I’m looking at him still thinking he’s like a film character because I’ve watched him all these years! When he’s putting his arm around you, you just feel at home.”
Ibrahima Konate now a leader within the squad
Obviously, Virgil van Dijk has been an outstanding captain for Liverpool. Van Dijk’s performance in the Carabao Cup final is going to be remembered for a long time to come.
So to hear that Konate is something of a leader also will be hugely encouraging for Liverpool fans. It has not always been the easiest time for the Frenchman since his move to Merseyside.
But Konate is often excellent when he gets a run in the side. And clearly, he is proving to be extremely influential off the pitch, as well as on it.
