Donald Trump flashed a rare smile during a hearing in his hush money case Monday that was captured in a courtroom sketch and almost immediately mocked online.

Newsweek was first to report the response to court artist Jane Rosenberg's sketch that shows the former president, accused of falsifying business records to pay off adult film star Stormy Daniels, raising his eyebrows and sporting a grin.

"If "Dick Tracy" & "American Dad" had a baby," quipped @Sooth_Utterer.

"Looks like a drunk guy dressed up in a suit so we know the artist didn't like him," said Against the Obvious. "Also he is not orange enough."

"His hair looks terrible so that is accurate," added David James Richardson.

But Trump's "smirk" appeared to earn instant meme status among his base.

"You can't make this up," @BenStanton77 posted. "The sketch artist today made Trump into the literal Meme."

This moment was captured in a hearing ahead of the Manhattan criminal court trial in which Trump faces 34 felony counts linked to his 2016 presidential election campaign.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg accuses Trump of orchestrating a “catch and kill” scheme to buy and bury potentially scandalous material then concealing the payments with "months of false business entries," court records show.

The trial is expected to begin April 15. Trump has pleaded not guilty.

Some of his supporters came out cheering on the sketch, arguing it should appear framed at Mar-a-Lago.

Trump stalwart Dinesh D'Souza tweeted: "This courtroom sketch of Trump pretty much says it all. “I’m worth $6 billion and I bet I can find $175 million lying around somewhere in the next 10 days.”
