Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski briefed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on the details of the incident involving a Russian missile that violated Polish airspace on March 24th, according to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The head of Polish diplomacy stressed that this is another case where the actions of Russia, a country that continues its unjustified and brutal aggression against Ukraine, also threaten the security of NATO member states.
In addition, the parties discussed ways to strengthen the security of the Polish airspace and the airspace of the Alliance, as well as the upcoming meeting of NATO foreign ministers, which will focus on preparations for the NATO Summit in Washington in July of this year.

Incident with a Russian missile
On March 24, Russian occupiers once again carried out a massive missile strike on Ukraine. The enemy used 29 missiles launched from 14 Tu-95MS aircraft and 28 drones.
One of the missiles, a Kh-101, flew into Polish airspace and passed over the Lublin Voivodeship. The air defense forces did not shoot down the missile, as they were confident it would return to Ukrainian territory.
After the incident, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Russian Ambassador Sergei Andreyev. However, the diplomat did not appear at the appointed time.
