In Ukraine, 57 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. Russians were actively trying to storm Ukrainian positions in the Lyman and Novopavlivka directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, over the past day, Russians launched 4 missile and 59 air strikes, fired 106 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.
At night, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine once again using 12 Shahed UAVs. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all the attack UAVs.
Over the past day, the following localities were hit by air strikes: Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka, Iskryskivshchyna in Sumy region; Derhachi, Vovchanski Khutory, Starytsia, Budarky in Kharkiv region; Makiivka in Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Druzhba, Pivdenne, Oleksandropil, Arkhanhelske, Berdychi, Semenivka, Memryk, Ocheretyno, Umanske, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in Donetsk region; Novodanilivka, Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia region; Chervonyi Mayak, Zmiivka, Mykilske in Kherson region.
More than 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under Russian artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, Russians maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increase the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled one Russian attack near the village of Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka, and north of Vesele, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four Russian attacks near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 Russian attacks near Berdychi and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the Russians near Novomykhailivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops 22 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 4 times near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; southwest of Bilohiria and northwest of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Russians have not abandoned their intention to drive Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. However, they did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions over the past day.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 9 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Ukrainian missile units destroyed 1 air defense system, 1 artillery system, 1 electronic warfare station, 1 area of concentration of personnel, and 1 enemy UAV control station.
The National Guard of Ukraine destroyed over 270 units of Russian equipment over the past week.
The Russians are unlikely to attack Kharkiv or Sumy shortly.
