Albania fans are saying the same thing about Armando Broja’s display for his country yesterday

It’s been a very frustrating 2024 so far for Chelsea’s Armando Broja, but he finally got some worthwhile minutes of competitive action yesterday on the international stage.

Chelsea youngster Armando Broja, who’s just 22, spent the first half of the season in and out of the side at Stamford Bridge. Therefore, they sent the striker out on loan to close rivals Fulham in January for the rest of the campaign.

But the centre-forward’s only played four games in Fulham colours since his loan switch, with zero starts as well.

Unfortunately, Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz has emerged as one of the most in-form attackers around, scoring seven goals in seven Premier League matches since the start of February.

The Chelsea Chronicle recently argued why sanctioning Broja’s temporary exit in January is one of the worse decisions under this ownership so far.

Albania suffered a 1-0 defeat against Sweden on Monday in an international friendly, but it was a very positive outing for Broja.

The on-loan Chelsea forward earned a start for his country, lasting 77 minutes before being substituted off.

He did score but the goal was ruled out for offside.

We hope he can take some confidence back to Craven Cottage for the final months of the season, but his path into the Fulham XI looks blocked right now.

Albania fans agree on Armando Broja

A selection of Albania supporters on social media agree that Broja was a huge plus during their nation’s loss versus Sweden.

It was a timely reminder during a difficult spell that he does still have lots of quality as a young frontman.

Here are some fans on X reacting to the Chelsea-owned striker’s international performance:

One fan said: “Broja is 100% our starting striker.”

Another claimed: “Broja playing like prime R9.”

A third wrote: “Broja playing well. So much better than any other striker we have to start the counterattack. However, our midfield is getting run-over. Any small mistake and Sweden has a chance on goal.”

Another posted: “Broja is definitely ready for the first team.”

A fifth supporter shared: “Broja has been very decent so far.”

Another said: “By far the best on the pitch.”

Another claimed: “I like the way Broja is moving. Looking sharp and dangerous.”
