'We are good friends': Sheffield United star says £60m Premier League defender is constantly helping him out

Sheffield United might not have the most players out on international duty this week when it comes to Premier League clubs.

The Blades have a few away with their countries. George Baldock played well for Greece last week, while Anel Ahmedhodzic was on the losing end of his play-off semi-final against Ukraine.

For United, a lot of the focus around the internationals is on some of the young players. James McAtee played for England under-21s, while Oliver Arblaster made his debut for the England Elite Squad.

Of course, another youngster playing is exciting striker, Will Osula. The young Dane has been selected by the Danish 21s for this week’s break.

And speaking (Sheffield Star) about his time with Denmark, Osula has admitted he is leaning on a £60m-rated Premier League player for advice.

Of course Crystal Palace star Joachim Andersen has bags of experience in the game despite only being 27.

And speaking about Andersen, Osula has admitted he speaks to the big defender a lot and is keen to take his advice and experience on board.

“We know each other as we have the same agent. So we have talked a lot together. I would say that we are good friends. He is really good at talking to me, and we also talked before and after both games when we played against Crystal Palace. Here also gave me some good advice, which I have taken to heart,” Osula said.

“After the first match, he said that I should just keep grinding and work hard. I just had to do my thing. I have a lot of respect for Joachim, as he is a really good guy and is a regular at Crystal Palace. He is a good friend.”

Osula came off the bench in Friday’s 1-1 draw with Austria.

However, he’ll be hoping to start as the young Danes take on Lithuania later on today.

Osula has been a key member of the squad this season and played plenty of football under both Paul Heckingbottom and Chris Wilder.

With United expected to drop into the Championship, Osula – who has signed a new deal – is expected to play a key role for the Blades.
