US President Joe Biden called Russian President Putin a butcher and said that the United States could protect Ukraine if it considered raising taxes on billionaires, the White House reports.
Speaking to voters in North Carolina, Biden highlighted an initiative to increase the income tax for high-income individuals from 8.2% to 25%. According to him, this will rise to $400 billion over the next 10 years.
"Imagine what we could do with that. We could fundamentally sh- — slash the federal deficit. We could make sure there’s home care. We could do so many things — consequential — including finally making sure that we take care of Ukraine from that butcher Putin," Biden says.
US President Joe Biden already called Putin a butcher before. Thus, during a visit to Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw, when asked by reporters what made him think of refugees when he deals with Putin every day, Biden replied: "He's a butcher."
In addition, Biden extended sanctions against Russia for one year for its involvement in cyberattacks. The Biden administration says significant malicious activity in cyberspace continues to pose an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States.
By the way, Joe Biden signed a bill to fund the government for $1.2 trillion. He called on the House of Representatives to unblock the draft law on support for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.
