JK Rowling supporters demand immediate action against police in hate crime trans row

Gender-critical females are demanding Scottish police officers involved in a trans-hate "parody" of JK Rowling should be banned from enforcing any new hate crime laws.

More than 200 women have signed an open letter calling for a clampdown on the powers of police officers in Scotland.

The group shared their "disgust" over fictional character "Jo" - created by Police Scotland officers - who is alleged to be based on author Rowling.

They claim the narrative included offensive "tropes" where gender critical women were comparable to Nazis.

A scenario was presented at an official police "youth engagement" hate crime event last month, in which Jo, an "online influencer" is "passionate" about her beliefs, including there being only two genders.

As the story progresses, "Jo" states that trans people "all belong in the gas chambers".

In a letter, the women said the character had clearly been "a thinly veiled parody of the author JK Rowling, who in recent years has championed the sex-based rights of women and girls".

They slammed the scenario as as an offensive claim about women who believe biological sex should outweigh over self-declared gender identity.
