The Russian army today struck Kharkiv, using a guided munition for the first time, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov and the deputy chief of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Serhii Bolvinov.

"This is a UMPB D-30 SN, based on the FAB-250. There are two hits - the first shot a secondary school, the second hit residential buildings directly," reported the police officer.
Bolvinov adds that all services are working at the scene, and a rescue operation has begun.
Shelling of Kharkiv
Explosions were heard in Kharkiv during the day today. Almost immediately, the head of the region Syniehubov and the mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov reported a strike in a residential area.
According to the latest data, 16 people were injured, and one person died.
Russian forces have recently intensified shelling of Ukraine. Over the past few days, they carried out several mass strikes. Kharkiv has been repeatedly targeted. On March 22, the occupiers struck it more than 15 times. The enemy's main target has been energy facilities.
As a result of the strikes, the entire city was left without electricity. A power supply is being restored in stages. First and foremost, light appeared for critical infrastructure objects.
On March 26, the chief of energy state company Ukrenergo Volodymyr Kudrytskyi said that the restoring electricity supply to Kharkiv is expected to take up to two weeks.
