Man City ace claims Arsenal have a 'dream' player who's 'one of the world’s best’

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is also an impressive performer for Norway, where he plays alongside Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

In addition to the world-class striker, Odegaard also captains a side which includes Man City wonderkid Oscar Bobb.

Bobb and Odegaard both delivered excellent performances, but a penalty miss from Haaland meant that Norway were held to a 1-1 draw against Slovakia in this International break.

Nevertheless, Bobb heaped praise on Odegaard after the game, with their two respective sides set to face each other in a huge clash in the Premier League title race on Sunday.

Speaking to Norweigan outlet TV2 after the 1-1 friendly draw, Bobb claimed that Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfielders in the world.

“It is a dream to play with Martin (Odegaard),” he stated.

“Having one of the world’s best No. 10s next to me makes it much easier.”

Bobb played on the right wing, with Odegaard in a midfield pivot alongside Sander Berge, behind a front two of Haaland and Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth, but despite this lineup possessing a lot of quality, they could not qualify for the European Championships this summer.

Despite Bobb playing alongside Kevin de Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, he reserved special praise for his National Team captain and highlighted how the 25-year-old has helped him improve his own game.

Odegaard’s silky style of play allows the likes of Bukayo Saka and Ben White to thrive going forward on his side of the pitch, and his creativity also helps the front line receive more scoring chances.

The midfielder has been one of Arsenal’s best players in their remarkable run in 2024, and there will be a lot of focus on him as his side travel to the Etihad Stadium as Premier League leaders.

Bobb meanwhile, has shone at times for City, but is unlikely to start in the huge clash which could go a long way to determining who lifts the title at the end of the season.

The 20-year-old did score a decisive goal against Newcastle earlier in the campaign, but is still being eased into the first team by Pep Guardiola, and remains a huge talent who is already shining on the International stage.
