Bayern Munich now receive 'good news' ahead of Champions League clash v Arsenal

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now revealed a positive update for Bayern Munich fans ahead of their clash with Arsenal.

Arsenal will face a tough Champions League quarter-final test up against Bayern Munich.

The Gunners have not reached this stage in Europe’s elite club competition for 14 years. Very few members of Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad have a great deal of Champions League experience either, but they will be determined to show that they belong at this level.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is convinced that Arsenal have what it takes to beat Bayern Munich. However, it certainly won’t be easy, and the Gunners will have to be at their best to achieve such a feat.

The north London club need to ensure that they maximise their home advantage in the first-leg at the Emirates Stadium on April 9th. What’s more, Arsenal will get another boost in that match by virtue of the fact that Bayern Munich will not be allowed to bring any of their own fans into the stadium.

However, the Bavarian outfit should not be underestimated. Despite the fact they have fallen below their usual standards on the domestic front this season, there is still an argument that Bayern Munich boast better players than Arsenal on an individual, man-for-man basis.

Will Harry Kane be fit for Arsenal v Bayern Munich?

Arteta may well have been hoping, at the very least, not to have to deal with the threat posed by Harry Kane in the first-leg, though.

The England striker returned to Germany from international duty early, having sustained an ankle injury, as reported by the BBC.

Now, though, according to Fabrizio Romano, reporting on X, Kane seems ready to return to action. Romano stated, “Good news for FC Bayern as Harry Kane is back in team training, ready and available for the upcoming games.”

Arsenal ready to face Harry Kane

Arsenal fans will be all too familiar with the dangers of facing Kane, as he often tormented the Gunners throughout his lengthy spell on the books with their north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur. His link with Spurs will ensure that the 30-year-old is at the forefront of the media narrative in the build up to this quarter-final tie.

Whilst Kane is undeniably an elite-level goalscorer, the Gunners’ rearguard will back themselves to keep him quiet. The Arsenal defence has been in a class of its own this season, and the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba will be relishing the opportunity to go head-to-head with the 89-cap England international.
