Kris Jenner and OJ Simpson have been linked since her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian was his lawyer. They’ve both always denied having an affair, and have known each other since they were teens.
After Robert Kardashian Sr first met Kris Jenner as an air hostess, he knew he’d marry her. In fact, it was OJ Simpson he revealed this to, who had known The Kardashians star since she was just 17 years old.
Kris Jenner met OJ Simpson as a teen
Kris Jenner met OJ at the age of 17, but reconnected with him when her late ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, was Simpson’s friend. Kris was friends with OJ’s former wife Nicole Brown, and they remained friends after both their divorces.
Robert would become one of the athlete’s lawyers during his high-profile case for the June 12, 1994 murder of Brown and Goldman.
Robert had first crossed paths with Simpson around 1967 when he was a waterboy for the University of Southern California football team while Simpson was a running back. Robert later wed Kris in 1978.
During an appearance on The Ellen Show, Kris said she knew OJ since she was 17, and he was kind of like a “big brother” to her.
After the trial, Kris said OJ tried reaching out a couple of times, but it was “difficult”.
Robert Kardashian confessed love to OJ
OJ recalled the first time he met Kris, explaining Robert came back from a trip to New York and said, “I think I met the girl I’m going to marry. She’s an airline stewardess.” The stewardess was, of course, Kris!
“I always thought Kris was a cute girl. She was really nice. But, you know, I was dating supermodels!” OJ told the Full Send podcast.
He also added he’s “never been attracted to her” amid dating rumors.
Kris’ friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson
Kris was really close with OJ’s late wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. She and OJ visited the Kardashians in hospital when Kourtney Kardashian was born, and the two families often vacationed together.
They were all so close that The Kardashians referred to the Simpsons as “Auntie Nicole” and “Uncle O.J.” However, the couples went through divorces together: the Kardashians in 1991 and the Simpsons in 1992.
Then, when Robert Kardashian was Simpson’s lawyer for a murder trial on his ex-wife’s death, their relationship as families became strained, and later, Kim felt she had “failed” as a friend to Nicole.
Daughter Kim Kardashian West told Dr. Phil, “We really felt in the middle of this trial. We didn’t know which parent to side with.”
Years later, Kris honored her by giving Kendall Jenner the middle name, Nicole.
