'For sure': Fabrizio Romano says 'many clubs' will try to sign 21-year-old Arsenal player this summer

Fabrizio Romano has shared an update on the future of one of Arsenal’s most exciting young players.

The Gunners have come a long way compared to where they were when Unai Emery was sacked. Mikel Arteta had his struggles as well, but all that is in the past now.

Arsenal are one of the best teams in the world, and they have a splendid academy as well. Many of their youngsters are making a huge name for themselves, either in the youth sides or away on loan.

One Arsenal player who is thriving over the last two months has now become a wanted man, and Arteta will have a decision to make about his future soon.

Fabrizio Romano says many clubs are keen to sign Arsenal player

The summer transfer window will be an interesting one for Arsenal and their fans.

As always, all eyes will be on incomings, but quite a few players are expected to leave the Emirates as well before the start of next season.

The likes of Aaron Ramsdale, Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and even Emile Smith Rowe could be shown the door, and Arsenal could raise good funds if they manage to offload all of the above.

One youngster whose future is up in the air is Mika Biereth.

The 21-year-old, who has been compared to Rasmus Hojlund, has been incredible since joining Sturm Graz in January. He has eight goals and an assist to his name in just 773 minutes of football, which is an incredible return.

Biereth has caught everyone’s attention in recent weeks, and Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a number of clubs are keen to sign him this summer.

The journalist said in his Daily Briefing: “There will be a race for Mika Biereth this summer for sure, many clubs are interested in the young Arsenal striker.

“But, Arsenal have been clear on their position: no decision will be made now, internal talks about him will follow later this year.

“So on this one, interest is there and will likely grow in the next weeks but it’s not something serious yet.”

Mika Biereth’s comments on Harry Kane and Erling Haaland are very interesting

Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane are arguably the two best strikers in the world right now.

The two players are proven matchwinners and have scored a combined 66 goals already this season.

Biereth, who hasn’t even made his Arsenal debut yet, is nowhere near the level of Haaland or Kane, but the 21-year-old sees similarities between himself and the two world-class strikers, which is very interesting.

In an interview in January, Biereth said he’s a ‘worse hybrid of Kane and Haaland‘.

“I like to run in behind like Haaland and try to do what Kane does in the way he combines with his team-mates,” the young Dane said.

Biereth definitely looks like a big asset, but with just one year left on his contract this summer, it won’t surprise us if Arsenal sell him. They could, however, insert a buy-back clause in the deal.
