Reports: Club identify replacement for £15m talent but Real Madrid could ruin Manchester United transfer plan

Ineos are on board at Manchester United and that is likely to bring a change in approach during the transfer window.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co will be looking to undergo major changes at Old Trafford and a new strategy in the transfer market is surely coming.

The days of spending big money on the likes of Raphael Varane and Casemiro may well be coming to an end.

Ineos are likely to shift towards an approach of signing young players with huge potential and we have already seen rumours surrounding such moves.

AC Milan wonderkid Francesco Camarda is thought to be one target even if a deal for the Italian talent may be a little tricky.

Post-Brexit rules mean that United can’t sign Under-18’s from abroad, meaning Ineos may need to get creative and send some talents off to their other clubs Nice and Lausanne-Sport.

That plan has already been suggested for Boca Juniors talent Aaron Anselmino, with reports indicating that he could join United and then join Nice.

Boca Juniors prepare for Aaron Anselmino exit

United may well pounce with a £15million move for Anselmino, who turns 19 in April but would still be viewed as a player to loan out.

Anselmino has only made seven first-team appearances for Boca but has already found himself on United’s wish list.

One encouraging report has emerged in Argentina as Boca Noticias claim that a replacement for Anselmino has already been identified.

Boca have already picked out Uruguayan centre back Agustin Rogel to replace Anselmino, according to that report.

The Hertha Berlin defender has already impressed in Argentina with Estudiantes before his move to Germany and Boca could invest in him.

Boca would likely need the money from an Anselmino sale to go and sign Rogel, possibly paving the way for that rumoured United move.

However, other clubs are also interested in Anselmino and one of Europe’s elite are in the race…

Real Madrid want Anselmino

Defensa Central in Spain now report that Real Madrid are ready to make a move of their own for Anselmino.

It’s suggested that Florentino Perez has given his approval to a move for Anselmino with Real ‘very interested’ in a summer swoop.

The report adds United’s interest and highlights AC Milan as being a contender too but Real being in the mix will be a concern.

United just need to lay out the plan for Anselmino’s development; that he would join United, spend a year – or maybe even two – on loan with Nice to further his development and then emerge into the United first team.

If Anselmino doesn’t sign up for that plan then Ineos and United will move on to somebody else, as it’s unlikely that he will walk into the Real side.

Boca seem to be preparing for life without Anselmino but the teenager’s destination is unknown with top clubs now queueing up for his signature.
