'I just don't see Forest...': Chris Sutton issues his prediction for Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace

Chris Sutton has now provided his thoughts on how Nottingham Forest’s game against Crystal Palace will unfold.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will return to Premier League action following a two-week international break.

Forest’s four-point deduction has been well reported and all will know where the club now stand ahead of the Premier League run-in.

And the game on Saturday at the City Ground will provide Nuno’s side with a golden opportunity to potentially pull themselves out of the bottom three.

What Chris Sutton predicted for Forest vs Crystal Palace

Earlier in the campaign, these two sides battled it out at Selhurst Park, but it was a goalless draw which saw Forest register 16 shots.

However, there is now an awful lot more resting on Saturday’s game at the City Ground with the fear of relegation now a real possibility.

Oliver Glasner’s men are coming into the game having not won either of their previous two games in the Premier League.

But they have also benefited from a three week break since their last outing which, ironically, came also came against Luton Town.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Sutton has given Forest the home advantage with his prediction in his suggestion of a 1-0 win for Nuno’s side.

He said: ‘This is Forest’s first game since the points deduction that saw them fall below the Hatters and drop into the relegation zone but they have been in wretched form recently, and I am not sure what kind of reaction we will see from them here.

‘Crystal Palace’s last game was a draw against Luton too – I was at Selhurst Park to see it, but I still don’t know what to expect from them under new boss Oliver Glasner.

‘Glasner has had a bit of time on the training ground with some of his players in the past couple of weeks so we might see some signs of that here.

‘I just don’t see Forest losing this one, though. The big question is whether they will do enough to win it.’

What Gary Neville has said is concerning him at Forest

With just nine games to go this season, there is a lot of work for Forest to do if they are to retain their Premier League status.

However, it is something which is happening away from the pitch which has left Sky Sports man Gary Neville baffled.

He has recently been speaking about the appointment of Mark Clattenburg as an advisor for the club over the refereeing decisions.

He said: “Appointing Mark Clattenburg, that’s a nonsense. The owner turning up on the side of the pitch against Liverpool, to me just demonstrates panic internally.

“When I look at that, having been in a boardroom, you know when there is a crisis when you see things happening like that. I just wonder what’s going on internally at the club.”

Although the decision to bring in the former Premier League may leave many confused, there are certainly bigger issues at Forest.

Despite Chris Wood’s impressive form this term, there has been little to shout about in front of goal recently.

Forest have only been able to find the back of the net once in their last three league games.

It was the New Zealand striker who provided that goal at Kenilworth Road, but Forest may need more players to chip in if they are to stay up.
