Borussia Dortmund top scorer Donyell Malen and goalkeeper Gregor Kobel will miss the Bundesliga top match against Bayern Munich on Saturday, the club said.

"Donyell Malen will not travel with the team to Munich. The Dutchman suffered a thigh injury in Tuesday's international match and will therefore not be available this weekend," Dortmund wrote on Friday on social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Netherlands international Malen suffered the injury in the 2-1 defeat to Germany. He and Niclas Füllkrug are Dortmund's top scorers in the Bundesliga with 11 goals.

Kobel, meanwhile, will be absent due to illness, the club said. Earlier, broadcasters Sky reported that he left the club's training ground ahead of the final training session on Friday due to a stomach bug.

Dortmund haven't defeated Bayern in the Bundesliga since 2018. They are fourth in the standings and their main goal is to secure a spot in the Champions League next season.
