Man Utd legend's brother silences Arsenal fans with three-word post after Bukayo Saka stats used to mock his sibling

The brother of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has ruthlessly hit back at Arsenal fans after Gunners supporters bragged about Bukayo Saka’s stats this season.

Bukayo Saka has had an impressive campaign with Arsenal, with the Gunners locked in a three-horse Premier League title race with Manchester City and Liverpool.

The 22-year-old Arsenal winger has become a key player under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta and has been widely praised for his progression in the Arsenal first team.

Saka, who came through Arsenal’s youth academy, has made 27 Premier League appearances this season and scored 13 times and registered eight assists.

Arsenal fans on social media wasted no time in mocking Ryan Giggs after comparing Saka’s stats to the Manchester United legend’s best-ever season in the league.

Giggs spent his entire playing career at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson and enjoyed legendary success during his prolific time at United.

Considered one of the best wingers of all time, the 50-year-old Welshman lifted a record 13 Premier League titles before he bowed out of Old Trafford as a player.

Giggs also lifted two Champions League trophies, four FA Cups and four League Cups under legendary former United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The former Wales boss has been lauded for his longevity and his accomplishments, with Ferguson naming him as one of the four world-class players he managed.

Ryan Giggs’ brother hits back at Arsenal fans

Ryan Giggs’ best Premier League season for Manchester United – based on stats – came during the 1993-94 campaign.

The United legend scored 13 times and registered seven assists, with Giggs playing in 38 Premier League matches during the title-winning season for United.

One Arsenal fan account on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, mocked Giggs’ stats when compared with Saka’s from the current season.

Rhodri Giggs responded to the tweet by posting an infographic with the trophy cabinet that his brother boasts from his legendary playing career at Old Trafford.

The United legend’s brother wrote on X: “Good luck Bukayo!!!!!”

Giggs vs Saka comparison is pointless

Giggs’ brother rightfully hit back at the delusional comparison between Giggs and Saka’s respective seasons, as if it was a worthwhile debate in the first place.

Saka deserves praise for his current season at Arsenal – and his whole Gunners career so far – but the England star plays in a completely different era of football.

In fact, Giggs has previously opened up on United’s current wingers and admitted that the role is no longer the same as it was when he was playing in the league.

United had a roster of stacked strikers and Ferguson did not need to rely on every winger in his squad to put up large goalscoring numbers as we see nowadays.

Giggs’ season in the 1993-94 campaign was very impressive, with the United legend playing in a team that featured the likes of Andrei Kanchelskis and Lee Sharpe.

The former Wales international ultimately ended the season with his hands on the Premier League trophy, so let’s see if Saka can do the same in the current campaign.
