'Baller': Oleksandr Zinchenko seriously impressed by 'devastating' player Tottenham want to sign

Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko seems to have been impressed by a player who Tottenham Hotspur are trying to sign this summer.

Spurs, like Arsenal, are expected to be very busy in the upcoming transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou has worked wonders with the side he has got, but he knows that without significant investment in the summer, they will struggle, especially if they get into the Champions League.

A new attacker is said to be on the agenda at Tottenham, and one of their targets has impressed Arsenal defender Zinchenko this week.

Oleksandr Zinchenko says Tottenham target is a ‘baller’

Tottenham will need reinforcements in several areas of their pitch.

The North Londoners’ priority will be a new centre-half, while another left-back is also a necessity. Additions in midfield are likely too, especially if Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg leaves.

A new forward will definitely be on Ange Postecoglou’s wish list as well. The Tottenham boss decided against signing a replacement for Harry Kane last summer, but we expect that area to be strengthened this time around.

Among all the names linked with a move to Spurs is Genoa’s Albert Gudmundsson. He is said to be a serious target for Tottenham.

The ‘devastating‘ Iceland international has been in terrific form recently. He scored four goals in this international break, including a fantastic hat-trick against Israel.

Gudmundsson found the net against Ukraine earlier this week, but he ended up on the losing side. That cost Iceland the chance of making it into the Euros this summer.

On Thursday, the Genoa forward took to Instagram to express his disappointment. In the replies below, Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko hailed him.

‘Baller’, he wrote!

Tottenham fans won’t like one thing about Albert Gudmundsson

Albert Gudmundsson is a fantastic footballer.

The 26-year-old can play up front, as a second striker and also a number 10, and he has been having a fine season for Genoa, scoring 12 goals in all competitions this season.

Gudmundsson would be a good fit at Tottenham, but Spurs fans may not like one thing about him – he used to be a big Arsenal fan.

Speaking about the time he reluctantly turned down a move to the Gunners, Gudmundsson said: “It was difficult [to turn down Arsenal].

“I think my decision to go to Holland was more because I would get more quickly into the first team here. I went on trial at both Liverpool and Arsenal. Had a really good time there in England but, in the end, it was me being realistic about where I would get the most playing time.

“Arsenal are a team I support though, it was such a difficult decision. I was thinking about it for a while, I was 16 at the time and my family helped me with my decision.”
