Over the last day, 79 combat engagements were registered on the frontline in Ukraine. The largest number of hostile attacks is still recorded in the Novopavlivka and Avdiivka directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
In total, Russian troops launched 13 missile and 56 air strikes today, firing 57 times from multiple launch rocket systems at Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Situation on the frontlines
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
The occupants conducted air strikes in the areas of Neskuchne, Sumy region; Kruhle, Kharkiv region. About 20 localities were subjected to artillery and mortar attacks, including Bleshnya, Hremyach in Chernihiv region; Kucherivka, Sosnivka, Marchykhyna Buda in Sumy region; Kudiivka, Strilecha, Pletenivka in Kharkiv region.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Kupiansk direction. The occupiers carried out air strikes in the areas of Hryhorivka, Synkivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks near Terny, Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the defense of our troops.
The occupiers also carried out air strikes near the settlements of Yampolivka and Razdolivka in the Donetsk region. More than 10 localities suffered from artillery and mortar attacks, including Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Vyimka, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks near Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka in Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, tried to improve the tactical situation.
More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and Diliyivka in Donetsk Oblast.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 16 attacks in the areas of Berdychi, Umanske, Pervomaiske, Nevelske in Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to drive the Defense Forces units from their positions.
About 20 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Umanske, Netailove in Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Pobeda, Novomykhailivka and east of Vodiane in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to break through the Ukrainian defense more than 30 times.
The enemy also launched an air strike near the town of Oleksandropil in Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with the support of aviation, carried out 5 attacks on the positions of the Defense Forces in the areas of Staromayorske, Donetsk region, and Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
The enemy also launched an air strike near Malynivka, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 10 localities came under artillery and mortar fire, including Poltavka, Chervone, Novodanylivka, and Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia region.
Situation on the left bank of the Dnipro River
In the Kherson direction, Russian occupants conducted one attack on the positions of the Defense Forces on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Zolota Balka, Baryslav, Mykhailivka in Kherson region and the city of Kherson; Solonchaky in Mykolaiv region.
Enemy losses
The aviation of the Defense Forces struck 3 anti-aircraft missile systems and 11 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment.
The units of the Armed Forces missile forces struck 4 radar stations, 1 control point, 1 area of concentration of personnel, 2 air defense systems and 1 artillery unit of the occupiers.
Earlier it was reported that over the last day alone, the Defense Forces eliminated another 730 Russian occupants. Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost about 441,520 soldiers in Ukraine.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 29 tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles and 15 enemy artillery systems.
