Prices for newly listed N.J. homes hit $536K last month. See how that ranks nationally.

More than 7,200 new listings hit New Jersey’s real estate market last month at a median price of $536,875, according to the latest Realtor.com data.

That ranks New Jersey 13th in the nation for median prices. New Jersey was one of just six states that saw fewer homes listed for sale in February than in the previous year.

The 7,262 newly listed homes was down a modest .49% compared to February 2023, according to the data. The biggest decline was reported in Alaska, which saw a more than 8% year-over-year drop in new listings.

A total of 339,370 homes were listed nationwide at a median price of $415,500 in February.

New home listings have decreased nationwide because of high interest rates, according to a Redfin report.
