While many Saturday Night Takeaway fans are taking to social media to say they really could’ve o done without some of the Ant and Dec segments on March 30’s show, there was one moment featuring reality TV star Sam Thompson and band JLS that they can’t stop talking about.
ITV royalty Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are no strangers to the limelight. But, it was former Made In Chelsea star Sam who everyone’s tweeting about this Easter weekend. He and X Factor competitors JLS took to the stage on Saturday night and had what looks like the whole nation “sobbing.”

Sam Thompson rounded off last year celebrated being crowned King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The 31 year old won over the public, they had to make him the season 23 champion.
Now, it looks like the wins keep on coming as the ex Made In Chelsea star appears on another ITV show.
Marvin Humes announced his band, JLS were set to perform “with a fifth member” this March.
The singer said: “It’s the moment we… he’s been waiting for…. he likes a little bit of left, right, left, right, up, down, for one night only, please welcome… Mr Sam Thompson.”
Sam has fans ‘sobbing’
After fans voted for Sam to be crowned King of the Jungle last year over Nigel Farage and Tony Bellew, it’s no secret that he’s much-loved by the public.
But, it looks like the reality TV star and radio show host has doubled down in his efforts to become the nation’s sweetheart as fans are “sobbing” over his Saturday Night Takeaway performance.
One person tweeted via X (Twitter): “Sam Thompson singing and dancing with JLS, I’ve never been so happy for anyone in my life.”
More shared snaps of “how it started vs how its going” as Sam practiced JLS routines with Marvin in the jungle.
Others said the moment was “peak TV”, adding: “Sam finally got to perform with JLS, I’m not crying you are.”
Sam “fuliflling his dream” is simply “iconic” to a lot of fans who say the performance was “everything.”
