The Kardashians and Jenners have famously been trained by celebrities fitness expert Gunnar Peterson for many years. The family is sending their personal trainer “prayers” as he details his young daughter’s current battle with leukemia.
Gunnar Peterson appears to be most closely linked to Kris Jenner’s daughter Khloé Kardashian. The mom of two has been on a transformational journey over the past few years and totally changed her looks. Gunnar appeared alongside Khloé on her reality TV show Revenge Body, given that he’s a fitness pro.
Gunnar Peterson details daughter’s battle
On Wednesday, March 27, Gunnar took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking reality that his four-year-old daughter is currently battling leukemia.
Sharing a slider of images of his daughter, Monroe, in hospital, he wrote: “…Please hold our daughter, and our family-immediate and extended-in your hearts, thoughts, and prayers…”
Gunnar said of the diagnosis: “This is going to be longer, and cathartically different from my usual fare. Forewarned is forewarned. Life changing turn.”
He also explained what his daughter’s initial symptoms were: “Our perfect 4-year-old daughter, Monroe Vivian Peterson (MVP, see that?!) had a nagging cough, on and off fever, and an odd pallor to her for a few days last week. Typical kid stuff. Then my wife noticed bruising on her legs which was odd since she hadn’t been very active because of the other symptoms, and she took her to the hospital.”
Family ‘goes into the storm’
After taking his daughter to the hospital, Gunnar and his wife, Jess, found out her diagnosis.
He wrote in his Instagram caption how within just four days they learned of her illness: “She has AML leukemia.”
Gunnar ended his post by writing: “Back to levity and fitness fodder, more on this as it unfolds. Into the storm…”
The celebrity fitness trainer has posted a gym-related video to the ‘gram since, and prompted fans to comment on how “strong” he and his family are.
Kardashians ‘pray’ for Gunnar’s daughter
The Rock, The Kardashians, Chase and Savannah Chrisley, Lala Anthony and more celebrities all took to the comments section to send their support Gunnar’s way.
Kris Jenner spoke for her whole family on the post: “My family and I are praying for your baby G we love you all so very much and lifting her up in the name of Jesus…”
Kim also commented: “We are all praying for you, we love you.”
And Khloé agreed with Gunnar that his daughter is a “warrior,” writing:
“G! Oh my heart!! I am so so so sorry for you and your family!! If there’s something I can say for certain, she’s a warrior just like her mommy and daddy!! G I’m here if you need anything! I love you and your family and im praying for you all!”
