‘Keep changing my mind’: Jack Wilshere now shares his prediction for Man City vs Arsenal clash today

Former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere has just shared his prediction for the Gunners’ trip to face Manchester City in today’s monumental clash.

Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola will once again square off, with the Arsenal boss attempting to complete a double-header of league wins against his old tutor.

It seems as if both teams could be missing key players for the match, with City being without the likes of Kyle Walker and John Stones.

Arteta remained a little more coy when it came to updates on the likes of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and Gabriel Martinelli – a vital trio he’d hate to be without.

Today’s team news does feel very significant, and perhaps Arsenal will end up having the upper hand when it comes to availability if the trio above are okay to play.

It’s going to be a game of very fine margins, and although Erling Haaland dominated Rob Holding in this same fixture last season, a lot has changed since then.

Arsenal now have Declan Rice’s presence in the middle, one of the only midfielders in the Premier League who can match Rodri.

Jack Wilshere is very confident Arsenal won’t lose to against Manchester City today

With that all being said, Jack Wilshere did provide his thoughts on the game this morning, saying it was a very tough game to call.

The Arsenal youth coach was briefly on Virgin Radio’s Instagram live with Andy Goldstein, and was asked who he thought would win the Etihad battle.

Wilshere did sit on the fence a little, but was confident that Arsenal wouldn’t lose against Man City today.

He said: “I don’t know, it’s a big game, I don’t know – I keep changing my mind.

Asked if he’d take a draw Wilshere quickly replied: “I don’t think we’ll lose.”

Of course, it would be interesting to see Mikel Arteta’s honest take on a draw today – would he accept one before the game begins?

Not losing is obviously key for Arsenal, but Arteta will surely feel that his side has the talent and mentality to win such a game.

Similarly, Manchester City fans will believe that they’ve been in the situation countless times before, and always prevailed victorious.

A fascinating setting for a game, and one that simply won’t be missed by any fan of the Premier League.

All that being said, John Hartson did recently share his prediction for today’s game as well.
