Biden Urges Renewed Commitment To Peace Amid Easter Celebrations

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden extended their “warmest wishes” to Christians worldwide celebrating Easter Sunday. In a statement, President Biden emphasized the significance of Easter, highlighting “the power of hope and the promise of Christ’s Resurrection.”

He underscored the importance of gathering with loved ones to reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice and to pray for one another. Amid global conflicts, President Biden called on the global community to “renew our commitment to work for peace, security, and dignity for all people.”

Biden’s Easter message comes in the wake of the Republicans calling him out from proclaiming Transgender Day of Awarnece on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Karoline Leavitt, National Press Secretary of the Trump campaign, criticized the Biden administration’s decision, alleging it as part of an “assault on the Christian faith.”

Leavitt called for an apology from the Biden administration to the millions of Christians in America, asserting that Easter Sunday should be solely dedicated to the celebration of Jesus Christ’s resurrection.

“We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” said Leavitt.
