Catch a round-up of all the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Gabriel Magalhaes, a striker transfer and Ben White.

Gabriel Magalhaes praise

Arsenal star Gabriel Magalhaes came in for plenty of praise from fans following his side’s 0-0 draw with title rivals Manchester City. The Gunners played out a cagey affair with the current champions as the final run-in awaits.

Pep Guardiola was unable to get one over his old assistant Mikel Arteta, who deployed a strong defensive side. The centre-back duo of William Saliba and Gabriel dealt Erling Haaland well, with the latter defender receiving plenty of praise from supporters.

Arsenal striker transfer latest

Arsenal continue to be linked with a whole host of strikers when it comes to the summer transfer window. The Gunners have been rumoured with a move for a clinical centre-forward for some time, though their priority has often been elsewhere.

That doesn’t appear to be the case for the next market though, with Fabrizio Romano giving an update on the search. Writing in his Daily Briefing, he said: “We’re again seeing rumours about interest in signing Viktor Gyokeres. My understanding remains that Arsenal have not opened concrete talks for any striker, but as I said many times Gyokeres for sure is one of the options in the list as they have spent months in attendance with their scouts in Portugal to follow the Sweden international’s progress.”

“Still, at the moment, there are no talks or concrete negotiations as Arsenal want to take their time before deciding who’s the player they will sign up front.”

Ben White claim

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has claimed that Arsenal defender Ben White was the only dangerous looking player in the forward areas in the clash with Manchester City. It comes as both teams struggled to show quality in the final third.

Discussing White’s marauding runs, Neville said on Sky Sports: “Ben White is the one Arsenal player who has looked dangerous, looked himself, and looked like he’s got a bit of authority on the ball. It’s a lovely clip to the back post.”

White recently signed a new deal with Arsenal, showing his importance in the side as they continue to rise through the ranks.
