Destiny Udogie spotted with £60m Tottenham target who Ange Postecoglou loves last night

Tottenham Hotspur left-back Destiny Udogie has recently been spotted with one of the club’s reported summer targets.

The Italian returned from international duty in winning fashion on the weekend as Spurs took three points from Luton Town.

But Ange Postecoglou’s side were made to work for the points after going into the break trailing by a goal.

Destiny Udogie played the full 90 minutes against the Hatters, but it was his antics over the weekend which may have caught the attention of some Spurs fans.

Destiny Udogie spotted with Ivan Toney over the weekend

Ahead of the summer transfer window, there will be questions being asked whether Daniel Levy will sanction a move for a new striker over the summer.

The future of Richarlison is up for debate with The Spurs News having already been told the club would consider offers if they are to arrive.

And one player who has been linked with a potential move to north London is Ivan Toney with the Brentford man looking set to leave in the coming months.

Spurs scouts were believed to have been in attendance for Toney’s appearance for England last week in which he scored against Belgium.

Following the victory against Luton, Udogie was spotted at the boxing on Sunday night with Spurs fan Ben Whittaker and Brentford striker Toney.

What Brentford have said about selling Ivan Toney this summer

It has already been made apparent that Toney is a player who Postecoglou is a big, big fan of.

The Australian has already spoken out about what Toney offers Brentford having provided four goals and an assist since his return to football.

Postecoglou previously said: “I think he’s a fantastic player and you can see just how important he is to that Brentford team. He changes it almost overnight.”

And it is apparent that he is a player who Brentford have already come to terms with losing in the summer.

The Bees have already brought in a striker ahead of the summer transfer window with Igor Thiago arriving in the coming months for a fee around £30m.

Over the weekend, Brentford director Lee Dykes has admitted the 28-year-old has higher aspirations than playing for Brentford.

He said: “We’ve to be honest like with David Raya. Toney’s got aspirations to play at a higher level, which is fine, but it’s got to be on Brentford’s terms.”

Although the player is clearly looking to play at a level which Brentford are unable to offer him, they will still look to bring in as much as they can for the England striker.

It has already been claimed Brentford would be looking for around £60m, but could be willing to take less than that when the time comes.

Given Richarlison cost Spurs in that ballpark and he has reported interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of the summer, perhaps there’s some room for Spurs to make an upgrade up top.
