Ukrainian Ground Forces air defense destroyed over 300 Russian drones in March

During March, the Air Defense of the Land Forces destroyed 326 Russian aerial reconnaissance and attack vehicles, according to the commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Pavliuk.

Among the destroyed drones:

  • UAV Shahed-131/136 - 151 units;
  • Zala UAV - 45 units;
  • Supercam UAVs - 13 units;
  • UAV Lancet - 92 units;
  • UAV Orlan-10 - 21 units;
  • UAVs of unspecified type - 4 units.

"In the context of intense hostilities, the units of the Land Forces continue to land a significant number of enemy tactical UAVs, including FPV drones, using various means of electronic warfare," Pavliuk adds.

Russia's massive shelling of Ukraine

Recently, Russia has intensified massive shelling of Ukraine. Most often, the enemy targets fuel and energy sector facilities or other critical infrastructure.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Russia is likely to continue to strike at Ukraine's energy sector.
