Erling Haaland sends nine-word message about Premier League title race after Man City's draw vs Arsenal

Erling Haaland has posted his views on the Premier League title race on Instagram after Manchester City drew 0-0 to Arsenal.

Haaland’s display against the Gunners has come under stick, as many believe he simply did not impact arguably his side’s biggest game of the season enough.

Roy Keane claimed after the contest that the 23-year-old’s all-round game is “poor” and comparable to that of a “League Two player.”

Janusz Michallik predicted the Norwegian not to be viewed as “one of the best in the world” in 20 years from now.

Stewart Robson also slated the Leeds-born phenomenon, emphasising that unless he improves his game outside of scoring goals, he cannot be considered the best striker in the world.

Perhaps the more relevant conversation after the clash was less about Haaland’s performance and more about where the two dropped points leave City’s prospects in the title race.

Pep Guardiola’s men remain third in the table and now are three points behind Liverpool, after being just one point behind them before their draw to Mikel Arteta’s side.

However, Erling Haaland seemed confident about Manchester City winning the Premier League, despite them failing to turn one into three points against Arsenal.

“We’ve done it once, we can do it again!”, he wrote on Instagram after the game.

Elite mentality from Erling Haaland

After a disappointing game where Manchester City failed to get over the line against Arsenal, it would be understandable if Erling Haaland was sulking away and reflecting on an underwhelming display from him and his team.

Instead, it seems like Haaland is in no mood to do so and is instead remaining confident about City’s chances of winning the league title.

It would be a stretch to suggest that the Sky Blues’ title prospects have been dead and buried, considering they are only three points behind Liverpool and two behind Arsenal with nine games to play.

It is time for big names like Erling Haaland to step up to the plate until the end of the season and it seems like he is ready to do so after the treble-winners’ draw against Arsenal.
