Archie and Lilibet ‘missed a chance to get to know’ cousins George, Charlotte and Louis at Easter

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet missed a chance "to get to know" their cousins, George, Charlotte and Louis this Easter, a royal source has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live with their children in their Montecito home in California.

Royal commentator, Tom Quinn, spoke about Harry and Meghan’s children missing out on the traditional Royal Family Easter traditions.

He said: “The Royal Family traditionally meet on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service in St George's Chapel, followed by a brief walkabout and then a very traditional lunch of roast lamb.

“Harry always enjoyed this tradition because he got to meet an adoring public for a short period.”

King Charles led the Royal Family on Sunday for the traditional Easter service in Windsor.

The outing marked the King’s first official public engagement since he announced his cancer diagnosis on February 5.

Quinn told The Daily Mirror: “But what's really going to upset Harry this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards.

“And of course, it would've given Archie and Lillibet a chance to get to know George, Charlotte and Louis. The family rift is going to prevent this and Harry will feel it keenly.”

There have been tensions between Prince Harry and his brother Prince William since Harry released his memoir Spare, in which he criticised William.

As the Sussexes live across the pond from their cousins George, Charlotte and Louis, they are not able to spend much time together.

Archie and Lilibet did not visit the UK in 2023 despite their father Harry making several trips back.

Last month, a source said that Harry wants his two children to spend time with their cousins and King Charles.

The source said: “Harry wants to spend more time in the UK and bring the children over to be with [Charles] and their cousins, but he will have to prove himself first.”

During their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, the couple showed a glimpse of how they celebrate Easter in the US.

The cameras showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex setting up an Easter egg hunt for Archie in April 2021.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have spent this Easter on holiday in Norfolk with their children.

The couple did not join the rest of the Royal Family at St. George’s Chapel as the princess steps back from public engagements as she undergoes cancer treatment.

The family is spending their time at their historic Anmer Hall home in Norfolk to “close off from the world and move on.”
